Praxis for Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BA-LS) Candidates in AL, AR, CO, LA, & TN

Yes, even as a BA-LS candidate, we recommend taking and pressing the Praxis!

Praxis Testing Recommendations

We strongly encourage BA-LS candidates to take the Praxis at the conclusion of each clustered semester. These clustered courses/ semesters are designed to prepare you for each subtest of the Praxis exam: Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts. Click here for the video explanation.

Please note: Praxis passage is a state requirement for those pursuing a teaching license in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, and Tennessee. Most teacher preparation programs will not allow you to enroll without passing Praxis scores. Lastly, all alternative certification programs (alt-certs) require passing Praxis scores before enrollment.

We highly recommend that you sign up and complete all FOUR subtests of the Praxis while the content is still fresh in your memory, at the conclusion of each clustered semester. Leverage time in your favor!
