I'm locked out. How do I reset my Reach password?
Forgot your password? Never received a password? Zero worries, you can re-set!
If you're locked out of your Reach account, you can reset your password using Microsoft's self-service password reset tool. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the Password Reset Page
- Go to the Microsoft password reset page here.
Step 2: Enter Your Email Address
- Enter your full Reach email address (e.g., john.smith@my.reach.edu)
- Complete the CAPTCHA verification
- Click Next
Step 3: Complete Verification
Depending on your chosen Multi-factor Authentication method, you'll see one of the following:
- If You're Set Up with Microsoft Authenticator App
- The system will prompt you to Authenticate with your mobile app
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone
- Find your Reach account and note the verification code
- Enter the code on the password reset page
- Click Next
- If You're Set Up with Text Messaging (SMS)
- Enter your full mobile phone number
- You'll receive a text message with a verification code
- Enter the code on the password reset page
- Click Next
Step 4: Create Your New Password
- Enter your new password (must meet Reach’s password requirements)
- Confirm your new password by typing it again
- Click Finish
- Once you see the success message, you can now sign in to your Reach accounts using your new password.
Your new password will work immediately for most Reach services.
If you have your old password saved in your browser, you may need to update it when prompted.
Some mobile apps or email clients may require you to sign in again with your new password.
