How to complete the Candidate Employment Verification (CEV) Requirement?
A step-by-step guide to verifying your school job and classroom access teaching children for Reach’s Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies (BALS) Program, so you can complete your application.
The Candidate Employer Verification (CEV) is a mandatory admission requirement for all undergraduate applicants seeking enrollment in the Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies (BALS) program.
Important Note: The CEV request form is fully digital and lives directly inside your admissions application. You must submit this verification request form before you can officially submit your application.
Because Reach University degrees are job-embedded, your coursework happens right inside your physical classroom. This form officially verifies your employer, school site, and confirms you meet the minimum requirement of at least 15 hours per week of classroom access with students.
How Do I Complete the Process?
You must request your verification while working on your application. The process is fully digital and completed in four simple steps:
- Access the form: Inside your active application.
While completing your online application, navigate to the Candidate Employment Verification section.
- Designate an authorized signer:
Enter the name and email address of an authorized Employer Partner official who can legally verify your employment. This must be a principal, HR representative, superintendent, or program manager. Double-check their email spelling!
- Give your employer a heads-up: Post-submission.
Click submit. Our system will immediately email the digital form to your signer. Send them a quick text or email letting them know to look out for an email from Reach University.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)Do I need to be employed directly by the school or district?
Yes. You must be employed directly by one of Reach University's official Employer Partners (such as a school district, charter network, or partnering private school). Employment through a third-party hiring or staffing agency will most likely not be accepted.
Who is authorized to sign my CEV?
The form must be signed by an official school or district representative. This includes:
- School Principals or Vice Principals
- HR Representatives
- School District Superintendents
- Program Managers or designated school leaders
Can I submit my application and do this later?
No. Because employment eligibility is core to our BALS program, the CEV request must be submitted within the application portal before you can hit submit on your overall application.
What happens if I can't meet the 15-hour weekly requirement?
Because our curriculum is built entirely around active, on-the-job classroom learning, students who cannot maintain at least 15 hours per week of classroom access may be ineligible for continued enrollment.
Who can my employer contact if they have questions?
Please have your employer reach out to us directly at apply@reach.edu with any questions or concerns, and our team will be happy to assist them.
