Admission Checklist and Program Requirements: Steps to Join the Reach Intern Teacher Credential Program offered through Alternatives in Action
Please note that Reach University is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission. Alternatives in Action is accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Alternatives in Action provides the Teacher Credentialing programs for Reach candidates in California.
The Intern Teacher Credential Program requirements are:
- Submit all of the admission materials from the admission checklist. The subject matter competency is required to obtain the Intern Credential.
- Securing a qualifying teaching position
- The teaching assignment and credential must be a match (e.g. Algebra II; Mathematics Credential, 4th grade; Multiple Subject Credential).
- Teaching a minimum of 7.5 hours per week or 1.5 hours per day in your subject area.
