What is the Statement of Educational Purpose (SEP) form?

The federal government may require this verification form based on your FAFSA

The Statement of Educational Purpose is a federal form stating that you agree to the following:
That, based on your FAFSA, any Federal student financial assistance that you may receive, will only be used for educational purposes and to pay the cost of attending Reach University for the academic term of 2024-2025.
In other words, if you are awarded Federal financial aid of any kind, all funds will be applied to your tuition bill.

If you are chosen by the Federal Government for Verification, based on your FAFSA, we will email this form to you, along with instructions for completion. We will not be able to process your FAFSA and complete your financial aid until we have received these documents from you.
This form must have a "wet" signature, not electronic and must be signed in the presence of a Notary.

Once complete, the original notarized SEP form and a copy of your valid state-issued driver's license or ID, must be mailed to us for record-keeping purposes. If chosen for this verification, the mailing address will be included in the email you receive.
