What should I do if I’m having issues with my employer?

If you’re experiencing challenges with your employer, it’s important to understand that all employment decisions—such as performance improvement plans (PIPs), job status, or reassignment—are determined solely by your employer, and your preparation program or university cannot intervene. Employers are also not responsible for placing you in a new position if your employment ends.

As your program sponsor, our role is limited to supporting you with program requirements and helping you maintain eligibility for your credential; we do not have authority over personnel matters. While we can’t influence workplace decisions, we’re here to help you understand credential requirements, identify qualifying roles, and navigate next steps as you continue in the program. Please click here for a helpful chart that outlines the distinct roles held by the Program Sponsor and the Employer.
