What type of mentorship support do Interns receive while enrolled in the Intern Program?

Interns receive extensive, structured mentor support throughout the program. In all intern programs, the university (working in partnership with each employer) provides 144 hours of annual support and supervision, along with an additional 45 hours of support specifically focused on teaching English learners, as required by California Code of Regulations §80033 (for a total of 189 hours per year). This support is delivered through assigned District Employed Supervisors (mentors), targeted training, and ongoing supervision to ensure interns are fully supported in their teaching role.
